Update software and firmware TR-702¶
It is necessary to install the latest version of the software and firmware on the TR-702-1 and TR-702-2.
Installing the latest software version or firmware on only one unit will result in incorrect operation. For example, units will not be able to establish a connection with each other.
Firmware Update TR-702-1¶
To upgrade the firmware you need:
- computer running Windows 7 or newer;
- USB cable type A - type B;
- firmware file firmware.bin (version 1.3)
To update, do the following:
- disconnect the power cable from the TR-702-1;
- connect USB cable type A - type B computer and TR-702-1;
- hold the button next to the USB connector on the TR-702-1 unit;
- connect the power cable to the TR-702-1;
- release the button next to the USB connector on the TR-702-1 unit;
- find and open the appeared disk with the name TR-702 in the explorer;
- replace the existing firmware.bin firmware file with a new one;
- disconnect the power cable from the TR-702-1;
- connect the power cable to the TR-702-1
Software Update TR-702-2¶
To upgrade the TP-702-2 software, you need a USB drive with an update file.
The current software version of the TP-702-2 is displayed in Menu-System-Settings-Version.
The file has the format name update_xxx.ebm, where the characters between the underscore and the dot are the version number.
To update, do the following:
- prepare a normal FAT32 USB drive with the update in the root (file update_xxx.ebm);
- insert the USB drive into the USB connector of the device and apply power;
- wait for the download of the loudness meter application (appearance of the main graphic screen of the meter);
- open Menu-System-Settings-Version and make sure that the new version of the application is displayed;
- if necessary, enter the IP address of the input module;
- turn off the device through Menu-System-Settings;
- after shutdown, remove the USB.
