System requirements¶

DIGISPOT® II software works on computers running the following operating systems:

• Windows 8.1
• Windows 10
• Windows Server 2012
• Windows Server 2016
• Windows Server 2019

The system must meet the following requirements, depending on software configuration:

• Processor: Intel® Core™ i3
• RAM: 4Gb
• HDD: 100Gb
• Local network with a capacity of 100 Mbps or higher
• NTFS file system

For correct operation of the application, the following software must be installed on the workstation:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1 or higher;
• Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5;
• Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8;
• Microsoft Visual C Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013;
• Microsoft Visual C Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2019;
• In server OS it is required to install Windows Media Player by switching on "Desktop Experience" feature:
   

  Installation of "Desktop Experience" feature

  • Go to Server Manager
  • Click Features → Add Features.
  • Check "Desktop Experience".
  • Click "Install".
  • After all, restart the computer.

   

  When Desktop features are installed, Windows features including Windows Media Player will be added to All Programms group of Start menu.

To use Digispot II Media DB:

• one of the workplaces (ideally - a dedicated server) requires Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Server 2008 R2 Express - SQL Server 2017 Express) to be installed
• each workplace requires
  • Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 to be installed for SQL Server 2008 R2
  • Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0 to be installed for SQL Server 2012 and higher versions

Required:

• At least one USB port
• Keyboard and mouse
• Sound card

DIGISPOT® II software interface is optimized for a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels, 1280x1024 or higher is recommended.
